| This weeks episode features a conversation with Michael Geoghegan, the President & Co-founder of Gigavox Media, a podcasting technology company, and producers of the soon to be released Gigavox Audio Lite, and the Levelator. Gigavox also produces three successful podcast media channels, IT Conversations, Open Source Conversations and Podcast Academy.
Michael and I have a conversation around the history of IT Conversations and Gigavox Media’s upcoming release of Gigavox Audio Lite, a powerful new podcasting workflow application. We discuss the production advantages of using Gigavox Audio Lite, and drill into the advertising / sponsorship module which is VERY impressive. As I call it in the show several times, this is the “uber ad server” for podcast publishers. I also ask Michael to talk about the types of deals he is seeing in terms of podcast sponsorship and advertising. Lots of good stuff to listen to. Finally, we talk about the new upcoming Podcast Academy book series that I am participating in writing. Michael and I talk about the book, and the void that it fills in the marketplace as far as a book that is focused on explaining to the CEO, CMO, Marketing Manager, Ad Exec, VP of Marketing, all the way down to the small business owner, how podcasting can have an impact and extend their marketing and communications outreach. This weeks episode features a conversation with our very own Tim Barton, VP of Business Development for Blue Sky Factory, a communications service provider based in Baltimore, MD. Tim runs our Boston office, but travels down to Baltimore on a regular basis. Last week we had the chance to sit down and have a conversation about thoughts on lead generation, and follow up communications. It was refreshing to have someone in the studio, versus the phone, this time around. Nice change of pace.
Tim and I talk about our experiences at Blue Sky Factory, Inc in regards to nurturing leads, and staying in contact with targeted and relevant information. We also discuss how organizations can revamp older leads and contacts re-spark an interest in your product, service or brand, opening the door to build a new dialouge.
Tim is a pioneer in sales and business development and we are fortunate to have him with us at Blue Sky Factory. Listen in and let us know what you think. (NOTE: Sorry no head shot for this episode).
